Yellowstone

Well my last vacation in the U.S. before I'm off to China, dun dun DUH! Yellowstone! This is the second time I've been able to go and boy, I'm so grateful for my new telephoto lens because it worked wonders for me! Such a help in wildlife photography, in fact without it, I wouldn't have most of these shots. As I practice wildlife photography more and more I realize how incredibly difficult it really is.

This elk was such an awesome patient model and I was so excited to get so many close ups of it :)

Osprey: aka similar to all birds in the aspect that it's very hard to get a good picture of it :S

Baby osprey in a nest, even with my huge telephoto lens I still couldn't capture this as well as I would've liked to but still better than nothing right? :)

And last but not least. Probably my favorite shot :D

Backyard Adventures

These pictures were all taken from the comfort of my backyard or the backyard of others. Goes to show, you don't have to go faraway to find amazing things. There's beauty all around you :)

Cross processed sunflower

This is probably my favorite one :)

Swallows are surprisingly hard to capture, well all birds are really...

Cross processed leaf :)

This little guy...or I guess girl was so curious about me and my dad. She just sat there forever. I went and got my longer lens and she came back and she flew right up into my camera for a second, too bad I didn't have time to focus, would've been a great shot :D

Folkfest 2011

And finally up to date now, Folkfest 2011! I felt like previous years they had more dynamic groups but this year I was much better educated photographer, but still room for improvement :)

And this year I still have my program so I can give you the line up! :D
First we have Belgium - Alkuone

Umm ya, she's on her back and the girl underneath is STILL spinning her flag. Talk about awesome!

United States of America - Morning Star! Gotta love the hoop dance!

Why yes that is a bird claw on the end of that stick if you look at the above picture

The hoop dance gets so complicated and they some how make it into a sphere and then end with their one hoop once more. Pretty cool stuff!

Philippines - University of San Jose - Recoletus

I love taking pictures of dancers feet (no I don't have a foot fetish) because I love seeing the different shoes they wear! Check it out!

Next we have Romania - Doina

Their hats are cool! Don't deny it!

Israel - Shalom Israel

Indonesia - Kencana Pradipa Fakultas Psikologi

Belgium - De Krekels

United State of America - Rocky Mountain Express

Australia - Wadjuk

Why yes I do love Australian accents and thus Australian people! Go Australia!

Bulgaria - Nessebar
